MY Story

From One Small Hill to Endless Peaks
My journey began in 2019 with a simple hike at Bukit Wawasan, Puchong. It wasn’t a big mountain. It wasn’t a major expedition. Just a small hill with a group of friends.
But sometimes, the smallest steps lead to the biggest changes.
I still remember the exhaustion during that climb; my legs were shaking, my shirt was soaked in sweat, and I questioned why I even agreed to come. But when I reached the top, something shifted inside me. Standing there, looking at the view, I felt a sense of accomplishment I had never experienced before.
That was the moment I realized growth begins outside your comfort zone.
Walking Alone, Growing Stronger
After that first hike, I didn’t stop. I started hiking alone, sometimes with a junior from my university. We didn’t have a fixed team. We didn’t have experience. But we had curiosity and determination.
We met new people on the trails, joined different groups, and slowly built connections within the hiking community. Every climb made me stronger, not just physically, but mentally.
Hiking taught me discipline.
It taught me patience.
It taught me to keep moving forward, even when the path feels steep.
Finding My Tribe
In 2021, I discovered an international team called Cava Adventure through Facebook. I decided to take a chance and join them. Walking into a new group was intimidating new faces, new dynamics but I reminded myself that growth requires courage.
Soon after, I found DMD Adventure.
And honestly, that’s where everything changed.
With DMD, hiking became more than reaching summits. It became about leadership, teamwork, resilience, and pushing limits. The challenges were tougher. The expectations were higher. But so was the growth.
Through every difficult trail, every early morning climb, and every moment I wanted to give up, I kept going.
Because mountains don’t just test your strength.
They reveal it.
More Than a Hobby
Today, hiking is not just something I do; it's who I am.
Every mountain teaches me that:
- Progress is step by step.
- Pain is temporary.
- The view is always worth the climb.
I’ve hiked with different teams, met incredible people, and faced challenges I once thought were impossible. And with every peak I conquer, I realize something powerful:
The biggest mountain you’ll ever climb is yourself.
And I’m still climbing.
The journey continues.
The adventure continues.
And I’m ready for every summit ahead. 🌄🔥
